Paton’s Story and Welding Heritage

Paton’s journey began in 1959 when the Experimental Plant was established as part of the E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute in Kyiv, Ukraine. This initiative, led by Borys Paton, aimed to transform innovative welding research into practical applications. The plant's mission was to implement the Institute's developments and prototypes into small-scale production, bridging the gap between research and real-world welding solutions.


Over the decades, this collaboration between research and production has led to the creation of a wide range of welding machines, inverters, and consumables. These products are now trusted by professionals across Europe and beyond, known for their reliability, stable arc control, and long service life.

Ask and you shall receive. Rapid sent me an email asking for a review. This was my first order with Rapid, I needed a magnetic stick to collect metal chips from drilling. I bought from Rapid as they had an offer on a quality item (reviewed from a number of sources) The item arrived the very next day, as promised, and was well packaged.
